Cycling & Weight Management is already a delicate balance…ADD on an OVER-EATING addiction and you have a daunting combination. This is a tough subject for me. I am being vulnerable in hopes we can have honest discussions in the open, and use this as a leap forward to break the obesity chain ⛓ once and for all.
Here we go again…
Is this another yo yo diet I’m on?
It’s so crazy how comfort and confidence can throw you off in just a few months
then old habits creeps in
I start
Table of Contents
Taking in Fast Food because I’ve been busy
Eating unhealthy meals because I’ve been exercising more
Missing gym workouts because it’s already late in the day and I have gotten plain lazy
Thinking I can cheat today because I can always reset the button tomorrow
Man, the battle to beat OVEREATING is REAL!
It is a selfish addiction.
It thrives on feeding itself…
over, and over, and over again
’til you get sick and die.
And you know what’s even worse?
This battle will NEVER end for me
yeah…totally sucks @#$#! 🤬😡
but I am learning to FACE IT MORE OFTEN
and embracing the SUCK.
keeping any addiction hidden will only grow
and it will inevitably catch up and explode in your face 😫💥😫
so the Good News?
There are ways to combat this:
Realize that OVEREATING is a PROBLEM
Throw yourself a TANTRUM, NOT a pity party, and be absolutely FED UP with how you LOOK & FEEL.
Get on your knees and pray for FORGIVENESS! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Ask yourself, “Do I REALLY want to go back to my OBESE SELF?”
Tackle the EATING HABITS, not the food
WHY are you eating the way you do? For emotional reasons?
We eat according to learned behaviors regarding etiquette, meal and snack patterns, acceptable foods, food combinations, and portion sizes. We can get into trouble when our eating habits are more influenced by social, cultural, religious, economic, environmental, and political factors.
Intermittent fasting will help break the cycle
This may be the current diet fad at the moment, but fasting goes back thousands of years and was used as a form of prayer and focus. There’s a FREEDOM that comes out of this. It has prevented me from thinking about myself and food all the time. I’ve done 24hour Fasting, but you can look into a 12-14hour fast to start. If you have diabetes or high blood pressure, you will need to discuss this with your doctor.
Get an accountability partner or group, that will give TOUGH LOVE
This is a game-changer for me. I’ve had a personal trainer that looked at my body every Monday and lovingly thrashed me if he didn’t see improvement that week. Boy did we have it out at the gym! LOL People thought we were CRAZY! Yeah, we ARE! CRAZY to love our body, mind, and soul enough!
Share your plan to get back in the game NOW, not tomorrow, with that partner or group.
We ARE NOT perfect beings
We WILL NOT have perfect bodies.
We can only aim to HONOR ourselves daily.
So what do YOU THINK?
If you are battling overeating or any addiction…here’s your permission slip to get FURIOUS, CRAZY, and absolutely WACKO to make that change.
The more we educate ourselves with this issue, the closer we are to understanding why we do what we do. Here are some enlightening books to add to your collection.

I wonder how much weight you had when you decided to finally put an end to the fat you. I keep gaining weight even if I don’t eat more than yesterday. I’m not liking what I see in the mirror anymore.
Hi Mitch!
Unfortunately, there’s no end to the FAT me right now at least. I’m still working on FAT-proofing my mind. We just have to tackle it 1 meal at a time, think of “food as fuel” not for comfort, and surround ourselves with people who will give us tough love.
