And so it BEGINS…
A Lifestyle of cycling adventures
Hey LIFE JUNKY!

But it wasn’t always like this…
I’ve spent a good chunk of my young adult life following what I was told is a “successful” life: Get Straight A’s in High School + College, land a 9-5 CAREER, get married, have kids, buy a home with a white-picket fence, and you are SET! Although all of the above are AMAZING accomplishments, I can’t help but feel like there’s more to life than this. I’m not completely there yet, and I don’t plan to be. To CONTINUE to challenge myself thru cycling, travel, and entrepreneurship, along with maintaining a loving marriage and family, I’ve found the very essence of FREEDOM and JOY money can’t buy. Now, I can’t wait to share more of my experiences with you in hopes you are AWAKEN with the VERVE and SPUNKNESS you are meant to be in this world. Let’s go!
Hola Amigos! So you made a decision to cycle in Colombia, huh? Woohoo! Then you have stumbled upon one of the best countries on the planet for a cycling challenge! Ask many of the cycling pros why they visit so often. Even recreational cyclists like myself, who look for epic adventures, can’t get enough of this place (LOL)! Seriously, I have now adopted this country as my own. Let’s first start with Santander, known as the Land of Adventure! Here’s a travel guide made for cyclists to help speed up your planning, so you can focus more on your training! You are gonna need it there!
This year, experiencing local/regional cycling getaways has become a new way to holiday. I am so blessed to live in California, one of America’s most sought-after cycling destinations. Recently, I went to central California’s Avila Beach and San Simeon with a taste of Big Sur! My 5-Day Cycling Itinerary will be a perfect trip if you love adventure, challenging routes, coastal views, and pampered post-ride activities.
Have you done something in your life that has literally brought chills to your spine? Not in a million years would I have thunk about riding across America on a bicycle. Really? Then, I found the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure online. I was mesmerized!
Not only will we ride our bikes cross-country for at least 9-weeks, but build homes for strangers along the way? There are moments in life that open your eyes, that truly affect your body, mind, AND soul. This was that defining moment for me.

Health & Endurance Training Tips
This Coronavirus aka COVID-19 has been wreaking havoc worldwide especially among older adults and those with underlying health conditions. That doesn’t fit the typical mold for Endurance Cyclists, Marathoners, and Triathletes. They are probably the most healthiest / fittest people in our community! However, research shows that this community of athletes’ volume of training makes them susceptible to catching all kinds of virus including COVID-19. Yikes! Here’s WHY and what to do.
FLEXIBILITY has been a stumbling block for me when it comes to cycling. I swear I build lactic acid within 5 miles of riding! I’m always super tight, especially in the hip flexor area. It gets worse the longer I cycle…not good for an endurance rider. I sought the help of my good friend Vanessa at Yoga Vibe WeHo to see if YOGA can help solve this problem once and for all. I got my first real glimpse in the world of Hatha Yoga, and it didn’t disappoint! Check out what I got out of it. Eye-opener stuff!
If you’re on a bike for over 4 hours in the same position, your posture and muscles will inevitably tighten. Using these stretching techniques will keep your muscles loose and changing your body positioning will only add comfort and flexibility.

5 Steps to Turn Your Expenses into Easy Passive Income For Your Next Cycling Adventure or Triathlon Race
If you were to take a survey of the #1 obstacle to signing up for a triathlon or going on a long cycling adventure, you would find that the lack of money is what prevents many from taking action. Do you have to be rich to live a traveling lifestyle? Who told us, we don’t have the money? I would often catch myself asking the very same questions. Wait…hold up, how do others do it? Haven’t we all seen people blogging, sharing youtube videos, Instagram and Facebook posts of their adventures? If they can do it, why can’t I? Let’s nip this in the bud right now and find ways towards planning and living the life we want.
Cycling & Weight Mgmt is already a delicate balance…ADD on an OVER-EATING addiction & you have a daunting combination. This is a tough subject for me. I am being vulnerable in hopes we can have honest discussions in the open, & use this as a leap forward to break the obesity chain ⛓ once & for all.
It’s time to wake up and smell the coffee ☕️.
